The Balvenie DoubleWood, 12 Jahre, 40 vol
Sehr lecker, leichte Süße, reiches Aroma, runder und komplexer Geschmack.
Bowmore, Enigma Edition, 12 Jahre
COLOUR: Deep Bronze.
NOSE: The classic Bowmore smokiness is infused with sweet sherry and hints of heather honey.
PALATE: Initial sweet sherry flavours are followed by a more robust smokiness with a trace of fresh lemon zest.
The finish is beautifully balanced sweet peat smoke with a hint of sea salt.
Überkomplex, auffälliger Beigeschmack, herbe vielleicht.

Von Schottlands kleinster Destillerie, die im Jahr weniger produziert als die meisten anderen in einer Woche.
Noch nicht oft genug getrunken.
The Glenfiddich, Special Reserve, 12 Jahre, 40 vol
„Glenfiddich Special Reserve is a 12 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, from the Speyside region of the Scottish Highlands. It has a distinctive, well balanced taste with rich fruit flavours, subtle pine and a hint of peatiness.“
Besser als der normale, unjährige.

Hat meine hohen Erwartungen nicht erfüllt.

Sehr rund und voll. Für mich ein Beweis, daß Alter des Whiskys in der Tat sehr viel ausmacht.
Highland Park, 16 Jahre
Lecker lecker. Rund und mild.
Isle of Arran, 6 Jahre
Keine weiteren Infos verfügbar.
Trotz des geringen Alters sehr vollmundig. Auch sehr helle Farbe, vermutlich ohne Zusatz von Farbstoffen.
Longmorn, 16 Jahre, 45 vol
Sehr interessant. Vielschichtig, aber nicht übertrieben. Langer Abgang, den Alkohol merkt man erst spät.
Nose
Very honeyed with sweet dried fruits (peach). In time a sweet malty note (malt loaf) alongside a light waxiness (spent candle) and brazil nut. Layered.
Palate
Clean, spicy with a fragrant (freesia?) note on top. Honeyed, very soft and deep in the centre. Raisin, custard, malt.
Finish
Long with returning spices.
